It’s no secret that the Merrimack Valley Conference is a hotbed for wrestling talent.
This season proved that sentiment to be more true than ever.
Central Catholic flexed its muscles all throughout the postseason. Tewksbury’s Nicky Desisto and Haverhill’s Matthew Harrold captured New England titles. Plenty of other grapplers made headlines at states and all-states. On the girls side, Lowell was once again dominant, while programs like North Andover and Lawrence are on the rise.
