The run continues.
Add another trophy to the growing mantle at Billerica High. Garnering 26 points, the Billerica girls cross country team stormed to the Division 1C title, eclipsing Notre Dame (Hingham) by a staggering 47 points.
Central Catholic’s Kyla Breslin — the individual MVC champion — won the race in 18:19.70, but she was followed by a pack of five Billerica runners in the top eight. Kylie Donahue finished in second (18:28.10) in front of Maya Niles (18:50.30), Hartlie Siegal (19:00.20), Evelyn Wesling (19:13.10) and Caitlyn Donahue (19:15.40). Sabrina Gorski placed 12th in 19:48.20.

Madison Howard (39th, 20:29.70) paced the Hillies, while Ella Machado (44th, 20:43.40) headlined the Red Raiders. The talented Mia McCusker represented Chelmsford well in the Division 1B race, placing fifth in 19:16.40. In the Division 2B race, Tewksbury finished in 13th place and was headlined by Maeve Burns, who came in seventh (25:51.01).
On the men’s side, Billerica’s Sahil Gandhi (third, 15:46.00) and Shane Leslie (ninth, 16:16.70) highlighted Billerica in the Division 1C race. Central Catholic was led by Noah Ruggiero (26th, 17:01.70). In the Division 1A race, Andover’s Landon Zoss flew to the finish line in 15:39.10 to place second. Andover (380) placed 14th as a team behind Lowell (ninth, 221) and in front of Methuen (18th, 434) and Haverhill (22nd, 597). Lowell’s James Kelly (26th, 16:34.30) and Samuel De Souza (31st, 16:40.70) had great races for the Red Raiders. In the Division 2B race, Tewksbury finished in 15th and was paced by Steven Oppedisano.
