Chelmsford senior Amelia Stroud has been selected as the Valley Sports Daily Girls Player of the Week for Oct. 13 through Oct. 19. Stroud is the fourth student-athlete chosen as Girls Player of the Week for the 2025-26 school year, which is presented on a weekly basis.
Stroud has netted six goals in Chelmsford’s last three games as the Lions (7-6-3) reach the homestretch of the regular season. Highlighting her torrid week was a three-goal outburst in a 6-0 romp over Dracut. Stroud also tallied a pair of goals in a 3-1 win over Tewksbury and found the back of the net once in a 3-1 loss to Nashoba.
“Amelia’s speed and control with the ball make her such a threat on the field,” said Chelmsford head coach Susan D’Agostino. “She’s always driving into the circle and creating plays that ignite the team’s scoring momentum. Her drive, competitiveness, and love for the game show up every single day.”
Stroud has accounted for nearly half of Chelmsford’s 34 goals this season, totaling 15 goals and four assists for 34 points.
The Player of the Week is selected by the Valley Sports Daily staff. Nominations can be submitted throughout the week up until Saturday night at 8:00 PM. There may be a poll posted on Sunday with the nominations. The results of the poll influence the selection but do not strictly dictate the decision.
