Player of the Week: Ava Nartiff, Methuen Field Hockey

Methuen field hockey sophomore forward Ava Nartiff has been selected as the Valley Sports Daily Female Player of the Week, presented by MTM Insurance, for the week of Oct. 11-17.

Last year, Nartiff was named the MVC 2 Co-Player of the Year as a freshman, and she’s continued her terrific play this fall.

Last week, she had one goal and two assists in a 4-1 in over Haverhill, and helped lead her squad to wins over Revere and Lowell as well. Methuen currently owns a 9-3-2 record.

The Player of the Week, presented by MTM Insurance, is selected by the Valley Sports Daily staff. One male and one female student-athlete will be selected as Players of the Week throughout the year. Nominations can be submitted throughout the week up until Saturday night at 8 p.m. There may be a poll posted on Sunday with the nominations. The results of the poll influence the selections but do not strictly dictate the decisions.
