Tewksbury held a 40-12 advantage in shots on goal, receiving tallies from Jason Shreenan, Jake Cunha, Kevin Andriolo, Tyler Bourgea and Jackson Feudo until the game was stopped with 4:33 left in the third period after a serious collision resulted in the injury of a North Attleboro player.

“It was terrible,” said Redmen head coach Derek Doherty. “You just sit there, and you’re like, ‘Oh no’…He’s OK. That’s the main thing.”

Cole Abruzi made 12 saves in goal for the Tewksbury shutout. North Attleboro’s Evan Sawyer stood tall between the pipes under a bevy of pressure.

Bourgea, Tewksbury’s all-time leading scorer, has now totaled 193 career points after Sunday’s tally.

“The first two periods, I thought we were dominant,” Doherty said. “Our forecheck was fantastic, we moved the puck well and we scored some nice goals.”
