Central Catholic junior Julie Hall has been selected as the Valley Sports Daily Player of the Week for Sept. 2 through Sept. 14. Hall is the first student-athlete chosen as Player of the Week for the 2025-26 school year. This award will be presented on a weekly basis moving forward.
Hall has been a key cog in Central Catholic’s perfect 6-0 start, in which the Raiders have yet to relinquish a set. In six games this fall, Central Catholic is 18-0 in sets, highlighted by victories over North Andover and Billerica. Hall is freshly removed from a pair of 11-kill performances, coming in big wins over Bishop Feehan and Billerica to headline Central’s potent attack.
“Julie is a very talented all-around player who is driven to win,” said Central Catholic head coach Alana McNeil. “She is a strong leader on and off the court. Her great court sense and diversity as a player allows her to not only be an offensive threat herself, but to put her teammates in a position to be successful as well.”
Hall is averaging 13 kills and nine digs per game thus far and has amassed a total of 16 aces. She netted a season-high 18 kills in a 3-0 thumping of Masco in the team’s season-opener and has been on a roll since.
The Player of the Week is selected by the Valley Sports Daily staff. Nominations can be submitted throughout the week up until Saturday night at 8:00 PM. There may be a poll posted on Sunday with the nominations. The results of the poll influence the selection but do not strictly dictate the decision.
