Tewksbury senior Ben Christopher has been selected as the Valley Sports Daily Player of the Week for Sept. 15 through Sept. 21. Christopher is the second student-athlete chosen as Player of the Week for the 2025-26 school year, which is presented on a weekly basis.
Christopher has been a jack-of-all-trades for the Redmen on the gridiron this fall en route to its 2-0 start. In Tewksbury’s statement 28-6 win over Methuen on Friday, Christopher just about did it all. The two-way stalwart totaled 101 yards for two touchdowns while also landing an interception and a fumble recovery to power Tewksbury to its first win over the Rangers since 2018.
Through two games this fall, Christopher has posted 103 rushing yards on 16 carries, 30 passing yards and three touchdowns while being equally as impactful on defense.
The Player of the Week is selected by the Valley Sports Daily staff. Nominations can be submitted throughout the week up until Saturday night at 8:00 PM. There may be a poll posted on Sunday with the nominations. The results of the poll influence the selection but do not strictly dictate the decision.
